Better than non-washable
Have only used twice but did wash and it seemed to get pretty clean. There was a bit of residual dust in the white filter that did not seem to wash out. Still worked real well after washing it. Much cheaper in price than a non-washable one from Walmart - there it is about $26 and not washable. The non-washable ones are realy hard to get all the dust out of. I gave it 4 stars only because I haven't used it for very long. But I have high hopes for this product.

Hepa filter
These filters work extremely well at what they are suppose to do! It can get very dirty very quickly. My only contention is that they are so difficult to get totally clear of fine dust & dander particles. I bang & brush but it never gets completely clean. Next time I need to replace it I'll try the washable ones.

Great Value
I purchased this to change out the original filter that was quite dirty. This new one fits a little wobbly but it has been doing a fantastic job and have not seen a loss of suction or any other problems. It also was half the price of an original replacement filter. I would recommend this to my family and friends.

Eliminates the dog odor smell when vacuuming
These are a bit pricey, which lowers it one star but they are sturdily made. I purchased them because we have dogs and there is a doggy odor in the house after vacuuming that bothers my husband. These worked very well for preventing that problem.

Allergy Suffer's It helps
I have used the product for several years and I use to hide when my wife vaccumed. This seems to trap most everything and my allergies say thank you. Also we have pets and the oder trap seems to work. Recommended!

Geez... it's a FILTER. Duh.4
There is not much you can say about a filter, except whether or not it filters. This one does. I have two cats, and of course, being cats, they can't be bothered to keep all their litter in the box. What fun would that be.... so I bought a vacuum with a HEPA filter so that any, um, smells would be contained. And, more importantly, dust that might make it through the bag. OK, HEPA filters don't filter out all smells, but they do a pretty good job, and this one is no exception. And it does seem to control all the dust, so I don't sneeze, scare the cats, and make them spread MORE litter on the floor. If you don't buy the manufacturer's filter, make sure you do buy a true HEPA filter and not a HEPA-TYPE filter. I think they call them HEPA-TYPE filters 'cause they LOOK like a HEPA filter. They sure don't filter like one, though. There's probably a million websites written by very bored people out there who can explain this better than I.
Now, I rated the filter 4 stars for the simple reason that, in order for it to get 5 stars, it's gonna have to install itself and vacuum for me while I drink a beer and write more highly informative reviews.

Genuine Eureka Filter Worth the $$$5
I tried purchasing a non OEM filter instead of this to save my money. I won't do it again anymore. It did't fit and kept blowing off the back. Tried to tape it on and that didn't create enough of a seal to make it worth while. I will purchase OEM from now on.

Great value, great service5
I was buying these filters at Target on an "as-needed" basis (about once a year, because I would o wash them). They are ridiculously expensive at Target, and that's IF they even carry them anymore. They are over $15 out there.

I decided to finally go online and order a bunch of them for the future. I ordered 5 of them at $9.99 per each. They came with unwrapped in a standard box, which is fine to me- that keeps the shipping size and weight down.

They are brand-new and perfect fit and quality. They are even yellow & black plastic like the vacuum itself (instead of the all-black plastic in stores).

I compared prices as to where I should buy the bags for this vacuum. Other than buying from the Amazon Marketplace Sellers which seems to be less than a dollar, not including shipping, Amazon is the cheapest place with free shipping, if you throw other stuff in your cart to make $25.00 to qualify for the free shipping. I did that. I buy items from Amazon anyway and I threw in the bags. Works out great.

I just got them in the mail pretty quickly and they are just right for the vacuum. Unfortuately the bags don't last long. The vacuum fills it up pretty quickly.

The materials used to manufacture the bag are different than that shown in the picture. Elextrolux has designed a new synthetic bag. When I first opened the box I thought I had received the wrong item, however the model numbers listed on the box have assured me that I have the correct product for my vacuum. Model #'s EL6985, EL6988, EL6989, EL7000, EL7020, and EL7025 Series.

Pollen and dust tight vac bag5
I bought my oxygen vacuum cleaner because of my allergies to dust and pollen. This vacuum bag which was made for the cleaner is so tight- no chance for leakage of what I can't stand in my air, so even though I usually do, I will not seek out any better priced imitations this time. Amazon, apparently knowing how passionate I am about such things, has asked me to review the dust cup filter I recently purchased from them.
What can I say about the Eureka 62396 Eureka Dust Cup Filter, aka DCF 10? This thing filters dust! And it's in a cup shape that fits handily into the space that the old dust cup filter came out of, making it an appropriate replacement for the old Eureka 62396 Eureka Dust Cup Filter - DCF-10 that I had to throw out because it got moldy. Hint: if you have a moldy dust cup filter, do not turn your vacuum cleaner on. It will smell up your house real quick, I'll tell you what. Unless you want your house to small like an old wet towel that someone's left under the porch.

DCF10 is better than DCF14

I have two Optima vacumns, one for downstair and garage, one for upstair. I have two dogs. I replaced the original filter (dcf10) with the new
Dcf 14. I like the Dcf 10 so much better. It is durable after many wash and much easier to install. Dcf 14 is made of some kind of fabric the catches the dirt and it is very delicate.
